We Salute..........
The
Bronze Eagles Flying Club of Texas proudly announces that
Wanda Kimbrough has completed her
private pilot flight instructions; she
anticipates completing her check-flight shortly. With which, she will become a
private pilot. Wanda will then be the first
female to attain this status while being a member of the
BEFC. During a recent fly-in to Bay City, TX, she was the delight of
the day, as she piloted an airplane from Houston. Way to go Wanda; I smell a
party once you have taken your check-flight.
Wanda is a Miami, FL; and, she is a graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School, Miami Beach, FL. She earned her bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University, Miami, Fl and a masters degree (MPA) from Texas Southern University, Houston, TX. After being employed as a flight attendant -first with Eastern Airline and later with Continental Airline- she has enjoyed employment in the business and educational sectors. After leaving a teaching assignment in the Houston ISD, she now runs the family business -founded by her spouse, Eddie Kimbrough- full time.
The Bronze Eagles Flying
Club of Texas is equally proud to announce that
Marvin Smith III recently passed his ATP
(Airline Transport Pilot) written examination. As we all know, this
is no small feat. He is to be mightily commended for having the patience,
academic prowess, and aeronautical knowledge to progress to this point.
Marvin is a graduate of the Houston ISD and received his bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University in airway Science. He is a former flight student of Doug Smoots and Roscoe Edwards, both Certified Flight Instructors. Recently, he served as an apprentice on G-1 with a national air service.
