Fact (
F) or Brickbat (B)??F:
A board of directors holds separate meetings from a members' meeting.F: During our last two membership meetings, the chairman of the board stopped the meeting and told the president that he did not have the authority to do a certain thing. Consequently, the members' meeting was adjourned for a short while -although we sat there in full ear shot- listening to their further confusion. I sincerely hope that they have had their meetings and will not -remember January- put us through that futile exercise again. Keep your fingers crossed!

For last year's BPA Annual Membership Meeting, the BEFC (Texas' Superior Aviators) flew five, (count-em,1, 2, 3, 4, 5), airplanes to Van Nuys, CA.B: As the e-mail chatter increases, we -the Texans- get the impression that some of our friends, The California RedTails, believe that the trip is longer, the mountains are higher, and the pilots from Texas are more accomplished than are they. Why else would they crawfish on flying those 40+ owner airplanes from Van Nuys, unless they believe the former statement? Why, I ask?! Why??!! Case closed!!!!!

We, the BEFC, are hosting this year's Annual Membership Meeting of the BPA, beginning August 12. It promises to be a fun-filled and productive meeting for all attendees.B: Ray Holmes called telling me that he had telephonic contact with a couple of BPA members requesting information about the published agenda for the meeting. I began to wonder, "where is it?" It dawned on me that it is in the recesses of the mind of our brilliant and resourceful BEFC president. "Mr. President, you have done a magnificent job in setting the tone and acquiring resources for this meeting that promises to be the granddaddy of all meetings. Don't cloud your hard work by having some malcontent grind an ax on s/he was not privy to the agenda before her/his arrival."
